The key phrase here is "so long as it doesn't harm anyone else." The problem is that 80-90% of the time, it's the people shaming others for making their sexuality public knowledge who are most guilty of violating this scared code.
In regard to morality, it's usually pretty easy to tell who the hypocrites are, especially on social media where the evidence can be easily found on their profiles and/or through a Google search. Those who oppose fetish art on DA believing it's not art, for example, strongly tend to either have at least a few examples in their own gallery or be very bad at art themselves, which is a sign of jealousy.
